When you warn someone through the warn button, it asks you to enter an administrative note too.
It would be nice if admins wouldn't be obliged to enter an administrative note.

its a longer way around.
It is easier to just press the warn button below his post, choose warning types as spam(10 points get added) and he gets banned automatically.

I really want to use the warning system. I like it.
Anyway, i could just enter "lol" in the administrative note though. It's not a big issue.
There is something in the source code that you can remove to disable the requirement check for the admin note box. I can't remember what it is though.
i won't make core edit now as mybb 1.6 is not yet released.
