Well recently I have just installed Joomla to my Host but now my Forum is in my root folder but in a new directory, I have lost all my graphical assets, can I reinstall MyBB without losing my database or is there another way to do this?
Why would you need to reinstall?? It sounds like you didn't change your settings before you moved it, what's your URL??

www.thegamesdistrict.com/community/index.php that is my forum, I underdtand why it doesn't work but is there a way to change it without needing to change every little detail?
You should of changed the url before moving the files.
Just change your Board URL in the ACP to
http://www.thegamesdistrict.com/community
If you can't login because of the changed cookies, edit ./inc/settings.php, change the cookie domain to .thegamesdistrict.com and the cookie path to /community/ and clear your browser cookies, and then make the changes again in the ACP.

How do I change my board URL, I'm stupid like that?
Go to ACP -> Configurations -> General Configuration
