MyBB Community Forums

Well I been looking at mybb since 1.01 and previously have been a big phpbb fan. However I am rather tired of their incompetence and been looking for a new forums to work with. I tried PunBB and it's great for a small site. SMF looks terrible imho. MyBB seems to have the base that I want though. So yesterday I finally did my install.

I am still working on some template changes but feel it's pretty far along to show off. I have about 500 domains and about 50 of them are forum names. I have about 10 active forums I own and if this works out I will try to switch all my sites to MyBB eventually and make sure any new forums use the software.

I know how to code and mod a bit and even have a few mods for phpbb. I hope to participate here as well when I can. MyBB weakness is the current lack of mods but hopefully that will change. The base seems excellent.

U have a nice big logo that u can also use it for the navigation, using image map

Hmm..maybe I will try to make it a background image of a div and place the navigation centered on top of it. Hmm...that could work nicely.

Ok it took a few changes but I have the nav with a background image in the same div.

Looks more like a United States board to me, rather than a democracy one.

Well it's more geared toward US politics. I am pretty close to doing full launch. I have to do some categorizing to make sure it's structured right and then pretty much I will launch it. I hope to get 1000 members within 60 days. That shouldn't be too hard for me.

How do you plan on doing that?
