* remove compatibility with MyBB below 1.6.10

Great plugin, I have a question.
In my forum I have a "secret" section. Only a certain group of users can read/write posts in this group.

I would like that only this group, when clicks on "unread posts" can see threads (title) unread in this secret section. Is it possible? thank you

Plugin uses MyBB forums access function, so, if other groups haven't access to this section, plugin will be not display threads from it.

me and my users love your plugin! Last week I updated it to 2.9.2 and there something happened. As I was in a hurry I cannot definitely say what went wrong, but now after activation
There is just that section "<!-- UNREADPOSTS_LINK -->" in the Templates ( header_welcomeblock_member )

When you enter a thread, the posts are correctly marked as "unread" but without the colouring (it was red before) but there is no "unread posts" link at the top.

I made something wrong while activating, but what?

What I tried:
- I uninstalled and reinstalled 2.9.2
- I uninstalled and deleted everything before reinstalling
- I uninstalled 2.9.2 and reinstalled 2.6

everytime the same thing, the link keeps gone.

I would be glad, if you could help me, I can't find the error.

It's normal. Standard configuration disables counter / link for pages other than board index. Edit plugin settings in ACP, leave field with pages blank to enable counter/link on all pages.

@Lukas, I'm sorry, I tried this already.
I don't get any link - nowhere. Additionally the "unread post" entry in posts itself is working, but it seems, that the css is not working. In the settings, there is
"color:red;
font-weight:bold;" added as the post marker style - actually, its plain style

somethings definitely wrong here.

Ahm edit just to be sure: how is the plugin being updated?
Deactivate, upload files, activate, isn't it?

I tried different things now, perhaps I did something wrong there.

Completly uninstall plugin and files and then install new version.

Now I uninstalled it, deleted the files, uploaded again and installed again. Same thing.

Oops, now I uninstalled again and uploaded the 2.6 files again, which worked before. The same thing. The forum is working, also I used an old functions_indicators.php (and it got changed in 1.6.10) the indicator in the post itself is working - in the old version in red, but there's no link in the header. Trying to fix it, it put

"<a href="{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/search.php?action=unreads">{$lang->unreadPostsLink} {$unreadPostsCounter}</a>"

in the header template, but it seems like it doesn't find the language files. Weird.

I have the strange feeling, that I am missing something simple

(I replaced {$lang->unreadPostsLink} to "unread" to have the link working, and it works, but {$unreadPostsCounter} isn't working either.

@lukasamd, thanks, latest version, work fine here, with mybb 1.6.10 too..
