Hi,

I have a new laptop (bought it about 4 months ago) and today I noticed there is a small black pixel on my screen.

The first thing I thought it was, was a dead pixel, but when I opened up FireFox, there was not a black pixel anywhere.

Could this still be a dead pixel? It only shows the black pixel when I'm on the desktop.

If its dead, it will be dead in all apps

I just restarted my computer, and its gone. Could it have been a "stuck pixel"?

LOL...I don't think they would replace it...

Probably just a hiccup in the program that loads your background. I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts happening more consistently.

Could have been a piece of dirt.

If it went away it's not a dead pixel.

If dirt is perfectly square

The static electricity of the pixels tends to make dirt appear as pixels I find.
