So i've been recording for a while now, but i need a higher quality program. I'm done with (f)OSS software. I need quality paid software recomendations.

You say your looking for higher quality stuff, but you're not willing to pay $200?
Also, the software is only part of the equation. What kind of microphone are you using?

He said it wasn't unreasonable meaning $200 is something he would consider if it's worth it. Something tells me he doesn't need a $1,000 program to do some audio recording especially to get started.

Sorry 41, when I read your initial post I thought it said "not reasonable." I've been using Fruity Loops for 2 years now. It is, by far, the best audio recording software out there. I was once in a similar predicament where I was looking for something better than audacity and luckily I found Fruity Loops

Both are great pieces of software. I highly recommend Audacity.
