Yes I tried using the technique that the MyBB community board is using but it doesnt work

Not bad, but as Bob said, the forum icons and the search bar doesn't quite fit in with the design.

It does though, for some reason, remind me of one of ivGeo's themes - http://www.ivgeo.net/2009/01/blogreen-theme/

Personally, I think it's great, except for the search bar.

That's a beautiful theme. I would make the on/off buttons so that they match the rest of the forum's hue a little better, or take on the green.
