My first forum was installed all correctly and so I can't understand what is wrong with this one:

www.getlost.in

from the admin panel if I click view forum:

it goes to a broken link:

http://getlost.in/admin/www.getlost.in

Why?

Thanks
The forum URL has to be "http://www.getlost.in" not "www.getlost.in"

OK...thanks, but now how do I fix it?

Do I need to delete it and re-install?

Thanks
No. You can fix this in
ACP >> Configuration >> URL / Site Settings
I just found it, I hope I did fix it now, it looks fine.

What is a "trailing slash" ? (I'm not a native English speaker, sorry)

Quote:Board URL
The url to your forums.
Include the http://. Do NOT include a trailing slash.

Yes, thank you, just found it Smile
Trailing slash is adding a / at the end of your forum's URL.

What about when I promote around the forum?

I find easier to promote it by "www.getlost.in" but now I don't know if it's better for SEO.

thanks
Shouldn't really matter what you use when you type it, the setting just has to have http:// at the start... however usually putting http:// at the start when you post it turns it into a link automatically.
The "http://" part is the protocol. (Stands for Hyper-Text-Protocol) Most browsers put that in front of every URL automatically unless you specifically define another. So it should be fine if you advertise without the "http://"
