I've got rid of tcat on most of my theme and merged the stuff that was in tcat into thead.

So on the showthread I've removed the thead that contained the thread title and changed all the tcat in postbit to thead.

Now the first post on every page has 2-3px missing from the top. See here for an example - http://petforums.biz/thread-dog-killed-w...ugh-window (compare the first post to all the others)

I can't find anything in the templates interfering with that top post, what else could be causing it? Something in the php code?

You probably already did this,but have you tried declaring the height in the css?

I know this happens on google chrome if the height isn't set.
