Is it necessary to keep this mod installed? Or once everyone logs in does it convert it to the right one in the database?
You can only uninstall it when every single member has logged in.
And since the plugin is tiny and ONLY happens if passwords need converted... why worry about it?
I wasn't really curious to get rid of it. My real intent was to find out if it was safe to use the regular mybb encryption to integrate the users into another site or if mybb, through this plugin, was somehow converting the encryption every time someone logged in.
Ah, no. It does input a properly converted password into the database once it has performed it.
So go ahead and do your integration.
