Hello, I'm still struggling to find out if I can upgrade a user to administrator just for a category containing forums and subforums or per forum.
Eg, I would like User1 to be able to create subcategories and forums for Category1 that the webmaster has created.
In other words, the moderator of one category or forum can add subcategories or subforums to only one main category but still be limited to administer other categories.
It's like you have many sub-administrators for different portions of your main board.
Is this possible in 1.4 ?
I know it's possible in phpbb3, but I'd rather mybb...

No, you can't do that, you'd need a plugin.

I think it would be more sense giving the user the power to administrate all forums and categories, but tell him/her that they can only change the categories that you want them to. If you really can't trust the user with that, then he shouldn't have any administrative powers.
