Hi,

Complete newbie and trying to merge from a phpbb3 forum to mybb however having some issues which I can't resolve.

When trying to import users I get the following error:

1265 - Data truncated for column 'usergroup' at row 1

I have changed the user group for this user from Global mod and tried again I then get the following error:

1406 - Data too long for column 'salt' at row 1

Could someone please help me.

Have you installed any phpBB3 mods? If so, you need to reverse those.

Worked it out and had to ammend the database entries from smalint and int to varchar and this let me merge. Not sure if this will break anything but it seems to be working.

Basically every error i got I just altered the database to allow it to go through and it worked, the only thing it seems to have broken is member images but I can sort those hopefully.

If by member images you mean avatars, the users have to re-upload their avatars again. Merge system does not currently support avatar conversion.
