I uploaded mybb and went to /forum/install and I get the first install welcome page, but when I click next I get a 404 error.
I don't really know how to explain this well, so bare with me please.

First host I tried was host-ed.net, the same thing happened there, but I did get an smf forum to install correctly.

Second host I tried is freewebhostingarea.com, it works there but the server is incredibly slow.

Third host(the one this thread is about) is awardspace.com. host-ed and adward space have almost the exact same control panel, so there might be something wrong with that.

PHP is v 5.3.1
MySQL is v 5.1
Is it safe to post the link here when it's in it's not installed?

Try reuploading the entire install folder. It may be that the files are corrupt or missing.

And yes it is safe to post a link here as nobody but you will know your sql information
If on the odd chance something did happen then it would just be a matter of deleting the config.php and lock file.

I re-uploaded the entire upload folder, and it still doesn't work.

Very strange. That form just sends it back to the original page which is index.php
Contact your host about this because there is no denying that index.php exists.
