Not a critical issue, but something curious.

I sent a mass mail out which went to less members than I expected. Then I remembered that some members have their PMs switched off, plus I didn't send the mail to the Awaiting Activation group.

However, the numbers still don't add up. Even deducting these two categories, the number of recipients was still less than the arithmetic says it should be.

Is there any other reason why someone wouldn't get a mail (a private message to be exact, in this case)?

Confirm with your host if they have any Restrictions over mass mail per hour...

Thanks for your answer but that won't be useful. Because the number of recipients a message is going to be sent to is shown BEFORE the PM starts getting sent, so this number wouldn't be affected by any hosting issues.

They would have disabled the 'receive emails from the admin' setting in their User CP.

Yes that is the correct answer.

Because now the maths works out exactly.
