How to change the directory of the forum? Like I have put the forum at

http://www.mysitename.com/forum

now i want to change it to

http://www.mysitename.com/mybb

is it simply to change the name of the directory or something else?

Please guide I shall me really thankful to you!

1. Go to General Configuration
Acp -> Settings - > General Configuration -> Board URL

2. Rename your directory 'forum' to 'mybb' in your hosting control panel.

changed the boardurl and directory name but but the users can't logged in! as after redirection it again asks for the username password.

Cookie path was not changed now what should I do?

You need to change you're cookie path, use this tool to find the correct cookie path(should be /mybb/).

thanks i have reinstalled and restored the system to the new directory
