Is there a way to prevent guests from using the [url] code in their posts? Perhaps a plugin of some sort that does this?

this helps prevent spam, this is the only thing I could find that could help maybe?

MyBB comes with Akismet by default. No sense in downloading that.

Again we only recommend using Akismet when you have lots of spam already.
There are plenty of other anti-spam measures.

Regardless I don't think there is way to prevent guests from posting links other than stopping them from posting altogether.
