I am doing a test convert from ipb 2.3.6 to mybb, and everything appeared to be going well. Zero errors during the merge/convert process.

forums,categories, topics, and posts seem to be fine.

However when i went to check the Private massaged, it looked like there were alot of duplicates, and whenever i click on a pm to read it i receive this error:

Quote:MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:
1054 - Unknown column 'Guest' in 'where clause'
Query:
SELECT uid, username FROM mybb_users WHERE uid IN (Guest)

I also get the error when i click the "sent items" link.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
and also does the merge system convert the signatures over? All th signatures are blank after the merge.

Wow, where the heck are all these people who have the support badges at?!?

Please remember we are all volunteers. Two of our team members are away and the other two are also busy with school/work etc. I am currently on my summer holidays so I do aim to answer as many as possible.

What version of MyBB did you convert to? And can you confirm that the PM's are in the db itself?

Part of this looks like an error I found in the SMF Merger Module awhile back and Ryan fixed... if I have time I'll look at the code and see if its exactly the same or not. If so you can simply revert MyBB to your pre-merge backup and take the fixed file I'll upload and use that to re-merge.

Having taken a detailed look at the code, I'm not sure why it has assigned all your PMs with a recipient of Guest...

Try this: In your Admin CP users admin use your ability to create a user and make a mock up "Guest" user. See if that lets you get into your PMs.

oh its fine now. I went ahead and just left IPB on that forum, and sold the site

so all is good until i wanna merge another ipb forums.
