How do i check stats to see where my traffic is coming from?

Visit it and type the IP address in the box.

So i put the IP of the site or the member?

Go to whose online. There it will also show the IP address of the guest. Just copy it and paste it on the bar on the site whose link I gave you.

Well i mean i have a link on another website and i want to see if any one is coming from there.

Thats not possible unless you keep a record of all IP of members on that site and check whether the IP of guest on your site matches with them

Well, check AwStats or Webalizer.
