Thanks to installing Gentoo for the third time, i looked at the system stats. Apparently i have a dual core processor in it.
This is interesting because
-Windows never reconized it
-The machine is 5 years old, and is a lot less crappy then i thought it was.
-Conky didn't see it.
Any reasonable explination to why windows never noticed the second core, and why conky didn't show it.
Is it really a dual core? I don't know of a processor that windows doesn't recognize by AMD or Intel.
... so much for dual cores being the same speed as single cores.
I can't resist: I told you so.
maybe gentoo is just retarded

nope, opened it up after and checked the CPU. It is.

Mine doesn't :p
What version are you using?
Windows has no problem recognizing my 6 cores
What processor & Windows version?
If your CPU has Hyper Threading then it might report as 2 cores when it really is only a single core.
