I bought a theme outright, including the copyright and usage rights - I had that especially included in the contract.

All was well, but the guy who did my theme has gone bust and now his link is out-of-date and some of my members are complaining about it.

Where would I find his "Theme Designed by:..." text -
this is located underneath the text
"Powered By MyBB, © 2002-2010 MyBB Group."

I have a utility that searches for text strings inside files and it came up with no returns. So I am assuming instead of text he has 'coded' his link etc with html $ strings.

Any help would be appreciated - many thanks.

Copyright is usually in the footer template.

I have no file that says footer.*

Is this embedded in another file?

Templates are in the database, you can edit them in the Admin CP.

ACP >> Templates & Style >> Templates >> Footer Templates >> footer
