On the black theme, I can't remove the background behind "Home" "Help" "Search" etc... I also can't remove it from the welcome block.

How do I do it? It's frustrating me.

Goto your global sheet and find .menu ul and change the background color.

In your global.css edit the Backgrond field for .menu ul and #panel.
(There is two .menu ul options, it's the second one. Towards the bottom.)
