i have uploaded files in binary mode before installing mybb
is there any problem or its work fine
Are you sure about that Matt? I'm asking because I thought anything other than image files needed to be uploaded in ascii format.
My FTP client's always been set to binary and files upload OK.
OK, just curious. I upload in ascii format, as I thought only images were supposed to be uploaded in binary. Thanks for the quick reply!

Auto selecting files?? Not sure what you mean by that at all. Can you elaborate??
in filezilla ftp client there is a option of auto in file transfer section

The FTP program decides whether binary or ascii is the best form of transferring the specific file automatically. It's been a pretty standard feature in most FTP programs for awhile now. But, it also can cause some issues when the FTP server doesn't support one or the other...
