Hello there,
days ago I posted a thread:
http://community.mybb.com/thread-73461.html
Well I can't take it back to life, well I don't have much time at the moment.
Should I close it or can i try to sell it?
I never sold a website so I don't know how to do it.
Please if you can:
- Tell me if I should sell it or just close it;
- If I have to sell it, how can I do it? Do i have to say something to the hosting?
Or just give the FTP access and cpanel access? Because when the domain will expire, the hosting will send me an email saying that it is going to autorenew in X days.
P.S. It should expire at the end of May2011

I have a good amount of users, a good amount of posts, but it isn't alive anymore.
When it was there were a lot of users online and a good "niche"

Thanks in advance for your help Big Grin
is the domain bought through your host?
Give it to me if you're just gonna close it.
/broke freeloader.
Yes I bought the domain throught my host.
Because on that host if you choose the normal pack (shared linux) for 15€ (20$) they give u the domain for free!
So my hosting has these specs:
- free domain .it, .com, .net, .org, .info
- cpanel
-1gb
- 2 ftp
- 5mails
- 2 databases
etc http://www.netsons.com/hosting-condiviso.php

I bought it through because I didn't need so many services and because it goes fast and it's good lol
It's not worth anything to sell, A dead forum is worth $0 regardless of member count, as you said no one posts. If it made any money on adsense then it maybe would be worth 6 months adsense revenue but that's about it.

I disagree. It's full of content that can give the domain some SE traffic.
I'll take it if your going to close it.

You'll have to ask your host if you can sell it Toungue, With that kind of deal, make sure you read the smallprint. Lots of hosts give you a "Free Domain", but it belongs to them, and you only own it after x amount of months hosting through them (so they can get their money back!). That way they make it hard for you to sell or move hosts as they own your domain.

I strongly disagree. I have sold forums in the past that were dead. It won't be worth as much as if it were active, but there is still some value in it.
