I cannot figure out how to do the run upgrade, it says there is a drop down tab But I see none.

Also , I get this when I try to refresh to view my forum:

MyBB has experienced an internal error and cannot continue.

Error Type:
MyBB Error (42)
Error Message:
Your board has not yet been upgraded. Please do so before attempting to browse it.

any help for a first timer?
yourforumurl/install/upgrade.php Also check your /install folder for a file called "lock", Just delete it. before you run the upgrader, MyBB will automaticly create it again after the upgrade is complete.
Also, make a backup of your database before you run the upgrader.
thanks, Do I do this via my FTP or should I try it in C pannel?

It would be better if you backed up your database from phpmyadmin in your Cpanel. Because with FTP you can backup only your forum files and not the dataabse itself which is where all the important stuff is stored and saved, like your members, posts, threads etc etc.
ok I cannot figure this out. I backed up my files via phpmyadmin, I cannot find the Upgrade button in the phpmyadmin.

this is frustrating lol

Phpmyadmin is to backup/restoe your dataabse and perform other maintenance task. To upgrade your forum you must call the upgrade.php file.

i.e. by going here

http://bigezworld.com/install/upgrade.php

In your case you must remove 'lock' from the install directory to continue with the upgrade.
