Can I remove the debugstuff from the footer or is necessary?

yep go to footer and remove

<div class="debug"><debuginfo></div>

But is safe to remove it?

Admin > Configuration > Settings > Server and Optimization Options > Advanced Stats / Debug information. Check no.

Doing this will hide the debug information. Meaning you won't see it anymore but you aren't removing it form the templates.
