How can I hide the administrator IP on posts in 1.6

It is hidden , you can see it because ur the admin , no one else can see it.

Theres an option to turn allow it or not in : Admin >>> Users & Groups >>> Groups >>> Select your group >> Miscellaneous tab >>> option in pic below
