well I am an admin, unfortunately the upgrade stalls, that is where it stalled.
Maybe do a fresh install, and merge the 2 boards?

Like for example install full then import the old database sql backup I made?
Won't that have a similar problem though? I mean if it won't convert the existing board it would not import the existing board either?

Give it a go. But I didn't mean importing the SQL. I meant running the merge script, importing the old install's data into the new installation.
Ok did a fresh install, no issues installed quick and fine. Now how do I go about importing the old data into the new forums?
Tried to download the 1.6 merge system and says cannot download from MYBB. Any ideas here, I really want to get this puppy fixed up???

Only converts 1.4 version on up.

Thanks Zack, unfortunately in my case, version 1.2.14 of the forums cannot be merged. So now my options on this are beginning to weigh down a lot.
So is there a way to merge a 1.2 forum to 1.6?
