The "Remember" column was removed during the MyBB 1.6 upgrade. There is no other version of MyBB that removes this.

Therefore this indicates that you might have accidentally ran the 1.6 Upgrade first then went back and selected the 1.4 upgrade. Unfortunately that wouldn't have worked since the column was already removed in the MyBB 1.6 upgrade script.

If that wasn't what happened then there must have been some sort of plugin or someone else that removed the column as it is required to use in MyBB 1.4 and MyBB 1.2. If it wasn't there you would have seen blatant SQL errors everywhere you went.

If you can add back the "remember" column and simply run through the upgrade process again, you should be golden.

That's never the right answer... Please wait for someone qualified to answer this users problems if you don't know. All this thread has done is brought slickdude into a worst position then he was.

If slickdude was simply told to stay where he was and not touch anything me or Matt could have then FTP'ed in or looked at the database and added back the "remember" column simply so slickdude could finish with the upgrade.

Thanks Ryan. There had been plugins but I disabled them as had been recommended before I did the upgrade. I did the upgrade on the 1.2.14 from the pull down menu. I was not sure whether to remove the plugins or disable them and so they had been disabled.

But I still had these errors. As for my current situation is there a way to merge the older database into the 1.6 app?

By any chance are you using the "default profile fields" mod?

Regardless I believe that a mod might be messing up your forum. If you go through just the plugin files under the plugin directory and search each of them till you find one that has "remember" in it. That is most likely your incompatible mod.

Oh, also the merger should be able to merge the older database into the newer one. You can find the merger in the downloads section.

nope, just checked and convert 1.6 only has a merge for mybb 1.4. As for the old plugins and directory themselves those are all gone. As had been recommended I did a fresh new install. The existing backup of my old 1.2 db I have retained though.
