The "Remember" column was removed during the MyBB 1.6 upgrade. There is no other version of MyBB that removes this.
Therefore this indicates that you might have accidentally ran the 1.6 Upgrade first then went back and selected the 1.4 upgrade. Unfortunately that wouldn't have worked since the column was already removed in the MyBB 1.6 upgrade script.
If that wasn't what happened then there must have been some sort of plugin or someone else that removed the column as it is required to use in MyBB 1.4 and MyBB 1.2. If it wasn't there you would have seen blatant SQL errors everywhere you went.
If you can add back the "remember" column and simply run through the upgrade process again, you should be golden.
That's never the right answer... Please wait for someone qualified to answer this users problems if you don't know. All this thread has done is brought slickdude into a worst position then he was.
If slickdude was simply told to stay where he was and not touch anything me or Matt could have then FTP'ed in or looked at the database and added back the "remember" column simply so slickdude could finish with the upgrade.
