I believe I started my first forum back in 1999, and I have been running phpBB on web sites as long as I can remember. So out of old habits I have followed in the steps of every version, and haven't bothered to look elsewhere. To be honest I was satisfied with the software. It wasn't until recently that I began to look around for options, since I never really got the hang of phpBB3. It was just so cumbersome to handle and customize. To be short it didn't feel user friendly. That and it missed so many features that many take for granted nowadays.
So boy was I glad when I found this sweet piece of forum software. Started toying around with 1.4 a few months ago, eagerly awaiting 1.6. I felt that if I had been searching for so long for an alternative, I could wait a little longer. So far MyBB has met my every need and then some. It's super fast, a child's play to administrate - yet powerful, easy to customize, and first and foremost, I feel that it is very user-friendly. And that is the most important thing.
I can't believe I missed this wonderful thing! Anyways, I'll probably be hanging around here from time to time, pestering you guys with questions and such. Thanks everyone for building such a nice forum!
