Hi,
I installed a fresh copy of MyBB 1.6 yesterday, but today File Verification check says that a file was changed: inc/adminfunctions_templates.php

This means that the download archive of MyBB was changed within one version. There is no subversion number or release number. The same MyBB version 1.6 has changed without any official notification.

BTW: This happend to some versions of MyBB 1.4.x too...

I just want to say that I don't like the way of changing files within the same version... Undecided

Suggestion: Add a release date to the package if the changes are too small to increase the subversion number.
It was a very minor change that would only affect a small subset of users.
I know, but this is not the first time of updating a package without a version change...

The only thing I suggest is to add a release date to the package (file name of the zip) so we have a transparent version policy...
These are issues that come up that are unexpected and the only way to minimize the impact is to push it to the release as soon as possible.

If we were weeks into MyBB 1.6's release I would have totally considered revving a version out for everyone, but seeing as we are still at the starting line for MyBB 1.6 it doesn't make that much sense to do a back flip so soon for a couple of very small issues.
but maybe you should consider, a little message on community forum ? new post on blog ? mailing maybe ?
those weren't minor changes because most plugins use inc/adminfunctions_templates.php file and it's function ... it hurts, especially when writing a "buggy" plugin for local MyBB support ( my case )
When MyBB 1.6.1 gets released we will be sure to note the change and include the file in the changed file list and package
