yes ghazal, I want to show the online users on "index". there is already a plugin for that but its for 1.4.x not for 1.6. I hope somebody make a plugin thats compatible with 1.6.

try to download 1.4x plugin and edit php changing to this
Then add the tag {$online_today} in template "index_boardstats"

This could be a workaround while this plugin author didn´t update to 1.6.
In this case (only this) worked for me. Several others 1.4x plugins that I tested were incompatible even with that (they´re not functional even with "activated" text)

Do what this guy says and it will work...
