is their a way i can make custom profile fields which are added by the user to the postbit template (or wherever else) hidden unless they contain something?

Right now, custom fields which don't have anything in them stretch postbits unnecessarily!!!!

I don't think there is an easy way, sorry. It would be pretty straight forward to hard code this into the source or to write a plugin but you will need to know some PHP.

Why don't you put the title on a new line so it won't stretch the postbit?
