description of the problem : i google indexing my links as showthread.php?tid=X and showthread.php?tid=X&pid=XX and i want to prevent google from indexing showthread.php?tid=X&pid=XX and index only showthread.php?tid=X .

I want to do that from google webmaster tools Parameter handling or from mybb board files it self but not robots.txt

Canonical tag. I have a plugin for it at MyBBCentral.com and I run the plugin on most of my sites. Example: http://www.supportforums.net

You can also add nofollow tags to the postbit where those links appear.

You would need to add rel="canonical" to all the links. You can get that plugin at MyBB Central.

Please remember that the support team here are volunteers.

MyBB Central seems to be a good site, but its getting very annoying that every site with plugins these days is only for payable subscriptions.

Even for vB more plugins are for free than for MyBB these days. Why having a free board software if I have to pay for the plugins then, and most of them are small ones, not really big enough to ask money for it.
