I thought i seen a download manager for mybb, but i guess not, because i can't find it anywhere.
I want a way to post downloads, and keep stats on them.
The attachment manager in mybb would work, but it does seem to allow linking to remote/already uploaded files instead of uploading directly.
Anyone know how to get it to allow that? Or know about a download manager over all for mybb?

Yeah says that its not compatible. So im off to find a way to make it
lol has to be a file edit that can bypass the compatibility check, or trick mybb into thinking it was designed for 1.6

You can change the compatibility indicator to work with 1,6 but it still might not work.
To do this open inc/plugins/downloads.php in a text editor and go to line 33. It should say that the compatibility is set to '14*'. Change this value to '16*' then install through the admin cp.
I haven't tested this plugin so this might cause some bugs.
I got it installed and activated using this method. The only problem I'm having is that I can't find a way to add new files to be able to download. Anyone get this to work?
I figured out that he meant that you can add downloads in the ACP. Is there a way to make it so that users and upload files? Is there perhaps a plugin in the works?
