One for Mybb, maybe as a plugin? Anything other than coppermine, using all this external software is driving me nuts. Maybe someone would consider this? Sighhhhh,

People have talked about it. Massacre made a decent one, but it was full of bugs and he had no intentions on fixing it and as such abandoned the idea. I'd even like to see PhotoPost support myBB, but myBB doesn't have a following that interests them.

I doubt we'd see a gallery modification (one of actual substance) for a long, long time.

I also started an in-thread gallery mod for MyBB once. It worked for RC4 but there were some problems with page load and stuff, because I couldn't make decent thumbnails. Also, you had to upload your images using ftp and then just specify the folder in a tag like [gallery=../folder]
Later, I used the core of the gallery for my website and it got more sophisticated. I didn't want to update it for MyBB 1.x.

Nice Smethead I started using Non windows servers for my sites because of cost, before that I loved my asp/vb. I miss it soo. I wish Mybb would go this route, they are so close.

This is my old playground, IMO the best damn software out there. Not php though I'd love a gallery just like the one at Mega BBS.

I guess maybe I should of paid my old friends at pd9 a visit a while ago, they have been working on their MySQL version, it's already in testing. So as I expect from Pd9 in the past, it will released soon. If this happens, Mybb will be down in it's software ranks. This isn't no PHPbb software and pd9 has always been a step with the higher end forum software. The Calender and Gallery are integrated and they rock! Many of the Mybb plugins are already features at MegaBB, like for example using images for user groups have them show in the users post info. Spellchecker and there's others. I asked if I could help Beta test as I was a sponsor of this software when it first come out and helped in the beginning, so they should I hope let me. It's not GPL software, but it is free.

Another thought maybe? What if you could use a specified board in Mybb, for example, have a place in the Board settings>change area that would include a field to type your forum ID or have a drop down of boards to choose from that you want to make your gallery, then have some individual choices added for example, how many pictures could a user upload to this paticular board, a check box to allow or disallow the index of Mybb to show thumbs pulled from most recent submitted pictures or whatever. There would be many possibilities going this route and would make a nice addition to the Mybb boxed package and could even be expanded on? Any thoughts on this route? Could even be a plug-in I would think?

I made a gallery page plugin the other day and just updated it today:

I updated my lightbox plugin to automatically generate thumbnails in [imagefolder]/thumbs/
If the thumbs dir is not present, it will create it.

If you modify the size of your thumbnail images, you might want to delete the thumbs folder and run the page again to recreate them. The script will only recreate the thumbs if the files don't already exist.

Your mod has serious problems. Maybe you are releasing this a bit prematurely.
