but it's still happening and I'm now on mybb 1.6

what gives?

mattr and I have had discussions in PM about this issue and he has seen it happen, but isn't sure what's causing it.

for example..on a large thread on my forum that has 189 pages, the forum lists it as having 190 and when you click 190 to go to the last page, it takes you to the 1st page of the thread because there isn't 190 pages, there is only 189.

Go to admin CP and in Tools menu, run "Rebuild forum counters".

I'm aware of that, but I don't want to have to keep doing this. I also have a task set up to rebuild the forum counters, but it doesn't seem to work.
