I have run other forums where I used a custom question to prevent spam bots. I have installed the stopforumspam plugin. I would also like to add a custom question. Where do I go to add a custom question in myBB?

You'll need a plugin to do that.

There was one like this for 1.4 (a plugin), so a quick search might turn up some results.
