Im thinking... since my blog doesn't get used much, but it does get us a few links on google.. I'm thinking about moving my forums to the main domain, (penhacks.net) and the blog to a sub domain (blog.penhacks.net)

Would there be any advantages to doing this? I was kinda wondering maybe if I moved it to the main domain it'd have a better chance of getting on google?

It really doesn't matter.

Google treats subdomains as real domains so yes, no difference.

That, and the bots themselves just link trace so as long as your forum has a link to the blog and vice versa, no huge difference.
