Are there instructions for how to set up your moderators and how to handle the posts. Should I get an email everytime a new user joins or something is posted? I'm a little fuzzy on the moderation of the forum now that it is up? It seems there should be an easier way than loggin in all the time. Can you direct me?

You shouldn't need to login all the time. There's a thread at the top of the forum about that:

You don't get an email when someone registers but it's available as a plugin.
Emails aren't sent every time something is posted because that would mean your server could be hammered by spam bits sending emails. You can subscribe to forums to get emails of new threads, and subscribe to threads, either manually or when you post in them, to get emails of new replies.
