I'd like to put more content on the portal so that it extends down beyond one screen. Is there a way to do that? Here are examples:

Heloo there

umm if i got u right, umm in case you wanna show more announcments well you should change the settings in Portal Settings, and change Number of announcements to show.

now in case you are looking to add new box below the announcement box.
then in the portal template add your own code below $anncouncement.
