MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:
145 - Table './jcl1985_mybbforum/mybb_posts' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
Query:
SELECT COUNT(pid) AS newposts FROM mybb_posts WHERE visible=1 AND dateline>'1282883558'



How do i fix this, and why did it happen?

turn your forum offline (admin panel).
then via Cpanel of your host, open PHPMyAdmin and Repair Mybb.posts table
