Did you ran the upgrader? {mybb_rooter}/install/upgrade.php ?

yup like i say everywhere says I have 1.6 but my dash says otherwise is frustrating.
Even tho I have the forum backed up I really dont want to loose it if I dont have to.
The only other thing I can think of is redoing it all over again get new 1.6 zip.. unzip it to destination etc etc

OK, well who are you hosted with?
and also, since AJS has your ftp, and login details, I am going to let him deal with this atm.

Afternoon Conor smiles
My host is with namesco. They had to rename the forum/install folder to forum/installOLD in order to get rid of this message
MyBB has experienced an internal error and cannot continue.
Error Type:
MyBB Error (40)
Error Message:
The install directory (install/) still exists on your server and is not locked.
To access
MyBB please either remove this directory or create an empty file in it called 'lock'.
which was showing on the forum. that has now gone and is just giving the site is closed for maintance message.
So went into dash and still saying that I am running 1.4
This is where AJS got stuck last night, so I contacted the host etc etc. This has really baffled me

OK, rename the new (1.6 Version) install directory to "install" and inside that directory, you will see a file called "lock" delete that file, if not, go to www.yourboardurl.com/install/upgrade.php and follow the instructions
Edit: Miss read your post, sorry, add me to MSN and I will see if I can help you at all, [email protected]
