I want to convert my emoticons, posts, threads, and announcements from phpBB to MyBB... is this possible?

Thank you.
Smilies (Emoticons) you always have to do manually from any board system to any other. You just create a MyBB smiley set with the smilies you want to use. Just like you would for phpBB.

For the rest, check out the MyBB Merge System. It does usergroups, users, categories, forums, threads, posts, polls, attachments, etc...

In fact, moving this thread to Merge System area.
OK... is it's possbile to move topics, posts, and announcements over though -- right?

edit: haahha nice signature about linux Toungue
One more thing... the phpBB forum is hosted here: http://sodaplay.dailyforum.net. That won't be a problem -- right?

So long as you can get a copy of database you can convert to MyBB.

How do I do that?
Do you have access to the control panel such as cPanel or DirectAdmin? If not ask your host.
I can get on the ACP...
It looks like a free host so I suspect it's not possible from the ACP, have a look around and see if there's a backup function. If not, you'll need to contact the forum provider and see if they can provide a copy of the database.
I don't see it... I barely use phpBB admin CP...
Then ask your host for a backup.
