How quick do they usually update the nameservers? Minutes or hours?
It depends on the visitors area and ISP. As well as the TTL on the DNS server
Most nameserver changes take 12-48 hours
You can accelerate this process by running this in your command prompt:
ipconfig /flushdns
not if your ISP hasnt recieved the nameserver change...
Also, this ONLY works as a command on windows
not mac or linux.
Well, I remember when I used Name.com I only waited for like, 10 minutes at max.
It depends entirely on what time of day you do it too. If the DNS server at moniker refreshes daily at 10:00 PM, then changing a nameserver at 9:55 PM would obviously mean a 5 minute wait. However if you changed your nameserver at 10:01 PM then you would have ot wait 24 hours
Then the filter time through the rest of the web
Alrighto, I'll just go to bed and I'll then see tommorow.
Thank you
Man, last time i moved tm0.org was the longest i ever had, about 12 hours. Before that its usually, instant to 4 hours for me. Its really just luck. And apparently where it is pointed before has some affect, i was told.
I usually wait 24-72 hours
Can it be changed if I connect to another internet?
I guess it could be the host aswell, that's slow. I just bought from MyBBWebHost.
