I'm making a Shoutbox for my forum and I've been wondering for a long time how to echo a user's formatted username, so I can show their username in the color of the group they are in.

Any idea how? {$formattedname} doesn't work.

I think the mybb function was format_username

So how would you write this as in a .php file?
