Works best in Firefox. Very laggy (like, doesn't slide at all) on all other browsers though.

Almost works, I have this code:
How do I do now that "remembered" that the division is expanded or collapsed?
<div class="thead-01"></div><div class="thead-03"></div><div class="thead">
<div class="expcolimage"><a href="#" onclick="Effect.toggle('{$forum['fid']}', 'slide'); return false;"><img src="{$theme['imgdir']}/{$expcolimage}" id="cat_{$forum['fid']}_img" class="expander" alt="{$expaltext}" title="{$expaltext}" /></a></div>
<div><strong><a href="{$forum_url}">{$forum['name']}</a></strong><span style="padding-left: 5px;" class="smalltext">{$forum['description']}</span></div>
</div>
<div id="{$forum['fid']}">
<table border="0" cellspacing="{$theme['borderwidth']}" cellpadding="{$theme['tablespace']}" class="tborder">
<tbody style="{$expdisplay}" id="cat_{$forum['fid']}_e">
<tr>
<td class="tcat" colspan="2"><span class="smalltext"><strong>{$lang->forumbit_forum}</strong></span></td>
<td class="tcat" width="85" align="center" style="white-space: nowrap"><span class="smalltext"><strong>{$lang->forumbit_threads}</strong></span></td>
<td class="tcat" width="85" align="center" style="white-space: nowrap"><span class="smalltext"><strong>{$lang->forumbit_posts}</strong></span></td>
<td class="tcat" width="200" align="center"><span class="smalltext"><strong>{$lang->forumbit_lastpost}</strong></span></td>
</tr>
{$sub_forums}
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
<div class="bhead-01"></div><div class="bhead-03"></div><div class="bhead-02"></div>
<br />

I can make it for you, But would require you to load jQuery and another script for cookies.
I can't do it for a while though, I have a lot of work to do

You can do this in jQuery because I have used this tutorial: http://community.mybb.com/thread-73034.html
