I am testing a migration from PHPBB3 to MyBB. Other than a few small (very small) issues with the migration, I am very happy with how it went.

I have one question though. Some of my user permission settings don't seem to be correct. So far, it appears to be on users that had permissions that were individually overriding the group permissions. One feature that phpbb has that I liked is the ability for an administrator to assume a user's permissions. It was an easy way to check if a user could/could not see a forum or perform another action.

Does this feature exist in MyBB? If so, where is it, as I can't find it.

Thank you.
No, you need a plugin.

Which permissions specifically? Smile
You could use this plugin to login as any user : http://www.mybbextras.com/showthread.php...min+hijack

I have two global moderators that I also gave limited access to the ACP. They were not given the ACP access.

I also have a single forum that I grant only one specific group access to. This entire forum was not visible to anyone (including me). I moved it from the root of the board to be a child board of one of my categories and it was visible again. This group of users is also in other user groups, so that is why I am assuming it didn't function. Their primary group is not the group that can see this forum.

The only one I was really confused about was: One of my admin boards was visible to all users upon import. In phpbb it is set so that global mods can see it only. When it was imported all groups had view access.

Edit: The one last thing I noticed was the the setting "Display as on line" was imported backwards for all users. A vast majority of my users display themselves as online and only a handful hide their status. All of the ones that hide there status were displayed as online and all others were hidden. It was an easy fix, but something I noticed.

Thank you. I'll give this a try.

I have it installed. Where should I be looking to assume user permissions? There aren't any instructions in the plugin install archive, and I am not seeing anything in the user's profile to assume their permissions.
If you still need it, here is another plugin

enter user's profile form index page (not within ACP) , then you shall find a link to login in behalf of that user
