1. Download PM on Registration.
2. Open up pmonreg.php on your favourite text editor.
3. Find:
		"compatibility"   => "14*"
4. Replace with:
		"compatibility"   => "16*"
5. Save and upload to your /inc/ folder.

Umm, no, sending a pm upon registration has nothing to do with captcha I believe. You should be fine.

Or do you mean the quick register plugin?

I download this plugin for 1.4

and change "compatibility" => "14*" to "compatibility" => "16*"

this change have bad results for my forum.

Are you sure you replaced it correctly? There's supposed to be a comma (,) after that line. Is it there?
