On some of the posts on my forum there's a little white question mark in a diamond shape, how can I get rid of these?

Do I check in phpMyAdmin? If so whereabouts?
phpMyAdmin -> Database (select your forum db on the left)
The collation type is the encoding type.
Link please, do you know what its suppose to be instead of the diamond?
