I just made a conversion from phpbb 3.0.5 to a Mybb 1.6.0 with portuguese language extension.
After the conversion I had a few issues:
1) Fonts on the signature are 10x bigger than it was in phpbb:

2) A lot of links that worked in phpbb are shown as html code, like:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tghUh4ubbg">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tghUh4ubbg</a><!-- m -->

Another unrelated question: is there a way to totally replace mybb in the place of phpbb so that the forum/thread links would still work?

Seems the answer is there indeed. But at the end of the thread it says:
"The error in the existing regex in the merger will be fixed (hopefully next release) and then this after the fact fix won't be needed anymore. But thanks anyways "

I'm using myBB 1.6.0 and phpBB 3.0.5.
Why can't I reply to that thread?
Also, it would be helpful if I could find this file read to use without having to apply those two changes at the end. Should we have that ready on the source control system?

I'm an advocate for that, but it doesn't seem like they've done it yet unlike IPB and XenForo.
As for the phpBB converter, I know that 3.0.6 had a lot of major changes, so did you try upgrading to the latest phpBB then converting to MyBB? Maybe that might be something you might want to try.

The fix for it will be in the 1.6.1 version of the Merge System. I wasn't yet a developer when I wrote that post, and at the time I had hoped the developers working back then would fix it.

I am having EXACTLY the same problem !
Any fix to that ?
Should I wait for the next release before doing the conversion?

Were you using some sort of YouTube BBCode previously on the phpBB forum?
These things are all being addressed and most should be fixed in the next version of the merge system.
